<p>Vilar de Torpim Reserva Red is a wine that reflects the profile of high-altitude reds from the Beira Interior. Crafted from a blend of traditional regional grape varieties, such as Touriga Nacional, Rufete, and Tinta Roriz, it stands out for its balance between the maturation of the fruit and the typical freshness of the mountain climate. The year 2022 endowed it with a good concentration of aromas and a firm structure, with the stage in wood adding complexity without overshadowing the identity of the terroir.<br /><br />The project is signed by the winemaker Jorge Rosa Santos, who uses the Vilar de Torpim brand as a space for interpretation and enhancement of the winemaking potential of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo. Through an approach focused on the natural expression of the vineyard, the winemaker seeks to create structured, elegant wines with a strong gastronomic component. <p>Rubus wines represent yet another facet of the work of Rui Roboredo Madeira, although with a slightly different concept and market positioning from his more well-known ranges, such as Beyra or Castello d'Alba. <br /><br />While the Beyra brand focuses exclusively on the extreme identity of the Beira Interior and altitude, the Rubus project often emerges associated with an author's wine philosophy with a very gastronomic profile, elegant and with a strong connection to the Portuguese winemaking tradition, exploring the potential of different terroirs and old vines.<br /><br />The name Rubus makes a scientific and poetic allusion to the botanical genre of blackberries and wild fruits (Rubus), which are very common and desired aromatic descriptors in high-quality red wines.</p>
